On Monday, April 6th, the first game of the night was the Battle of the Civic Clubs: Kiwanis vs. Lions. Coaches Shelley & Johnny Gaymon had their Kiwanis team ready, but they proved to be no match for the Mighty Lions, falling 14-5. In the nightcap, it was the Sonoco vs. Sonoco Recycling, also known as the DeLoach Cup. Sonoco Recycling, led by Avery Fulwood, Lan Holloman and Noah McAteer (among others), prevailed over Dave Pulling's crew, 9-7.
On Tuesday, Palmetto Precision Products took the field a twinbill. In the first game, PPP, as they're affectionately known around the league, picked up their first win of the season, topping Kiwanis 14-10. Sonoco Recycling had PPP's number in the nightcap, winning 18-8.
On Thursday, Caleb Walters, Bam Bam Fisher and the Lions showed some heart as they knocked off PPP by a score of 18-7.
After two weeks of play, Sonoco Recycling remains the only undefeated team in all of Hartsville National's leagues. Steven Wint's club sits atop the Farm League standings at 4-0. They're followed by the Lions at 3-1 and Sonoco at 2-2. Kiwanis and Palmetto Precision Products are next, sharing a 1-4 record.
