Hartsville National to host 2017 State Tournaments for Minors & O-Zone

Byerly Park and the Hartsville National Dixie Youth Baseball League are pleased to announce they will be hosting the 2017 State Tournaments for Minors and O-Zone. Dates for the tournaments have not been announced, though they are usually held in the first part of July.

“This is a great opportunity for our community. Teams from around the state will be here and they’ll get to see just what all Hartsville has to offer,” said Hartsville National President Bruce Douglas.

Byerly Park is a 93-acre multi-use recreation complex developed to improve to the quality of life for residents of Hartsville and the surrounding areas. The park has a history of hosting top notch softball and baseball tournaments. The park has hosted several district, state and World Series tournaments over the past decade. Recently, Byerly was the site of the Baylerball Invitational, which saw over 30 teams converge on Hartsville for an exciting two-day travel ball tournament. The park also hosted the 2015 Ponytails World Series.

In addition to baseball, the park offers year-round activities for soccer, softball, baseball, football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, track and field and horseshoes, as well as fitness and martial arts.

“We’re excited for the opportunity to host these tournaments. Our goal is to turn that excitement into an awesome experience for our league and for the leagues that will be represented at Byerly Park in 2017,” said Brooks Bannister, a member of the Hartsville National Board of Directors.

More information will be released about the tournaments as it becomes available.
